The Highmark Foundation is putting its money where its mouth is.
The Pittsburgh-based health care foundation is offering up to $500,000 in grants to public, private, parochial, charter, and vocational high schools in Pennsylvania and West Virginia through its 2024-2025 School Grants Program, the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.
"This multi-faceted program equips schools with resources that develop healthier and safer school environments," Highmark Foundation President Yvonne Cook says in a press release.
Under the five categories the foundation is offering grants in: physical health, healthy eating and nutrition, health promotion, disease prevention, and school-based health.
